Souvie

The short of it

Souvie (like, souvenir) was created to support Art Basel Miami beach in 2021. At the height of the NFT and digital collectibles craze, the team at Blokhaus developed a two-touch solution for gifting generative artworks and other digital assets. Souvie connects digital creators with fans in a frictionless way. Souvie has been used at events from SXSW to kids' birthday parties for everything from receipts of digital works to proof of attendance and ticketing.

When it's easy and you don't call it an NFT (too much), people like it.

Souvie activated creative in the best way - QAing and optimizing a digital product, building a brand from the way it looks to the way it talks. Throughout the course of my work with Souvie, I watched hundreds of people use the app, create a wallet and receive works from creators like the German artist Mario Klingemann, aka Quasimondo, who generated AI portraits of Art Basel attendees to capturing "Connies" at Vidcon which were part of a collection of 20,000 unique works. The best thing about Souvie, is that it's an open source software that people can pick up and use if they'd like to. In fact, many people have made their own versions with increased functionality and user ability.
